A unique live act with an emphasis on grime, hip-hop, dubstep, and r&b, EARTHTONE bridges the gap between the roots of the US hip-hop movement and the authenticity found in the UK grime scene. Their well-curated event series, dynamic live act, and distinct sound, has enabled them to play in a variety of circuits, carving their own path in music.

Pioneering the sound in New York, Co-Founders, Aions and Gi Major, come together on stage as a DJ/MC duo. Aions sets the tone behind the decks with a well-calculated selection, while Gi controls the microphone with her versatile flow. Together, EARTHTONE provides a seamless mixture of bass heavy rhythms and conscious lyricism, known to move a dancefloor. The pair is also known for their collaborations with saxophonists, vocalists, and even drumlines, exemplifying their intuitive ability to improvise on stage and provide audiences with a forward-thinking live performance.

Staying true to their ideology "build bridges, not walls," these multifaceted artists have been showcased internationally, while providing a home for their UK counterparts stateside. As of January 2020, they have been featured on Londons premiere radio stations, Rinse FM, Kiss FM, Flex FM, and Pyro, as well as Europe’s largest bass music and soundsystem culture festival, Outlook. Back home in NYC, their monthly event series, ON THE LOW, is a testament to the EARTHTONE essence; featuring some of the best DJ’s and artists, both locally and globally.
